National VOAD conference events will be held in accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local government. National VOAD expects each attendee to take appropriate personal safety precautions throughout the event. All attendees are required to show documentation of being fully vaccinated before traveling to the Annual Conference or a negative COVID-19 PCR/Rapid test within 48 hours of participation.
We ask that good public health practices be followed to further the health and wellness and the safety and welfare of all that participate. Health practices should include personal health checks, not participating in events if experiencing illness, and managing risk factors for attendance in public events. National VOAD would also encourage self and peer management consistent with a professional organization. Attendees should refrain from participation if exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms. This includes fever and other flu-like symptoms, coughing or shortness of breath, and the inability to taste or smell. Symptoms may also include sore throat, runny nose, or headache. If you are symptomatic, or believe you met someone with COVID-19 after the meeting or during the meeting, please get a test and contact National VOAD if it is positive.
The following precautions are being implemented in light of COVID-19 concerns:
- MASK UPDATE: Masks are optional for all attendees.
- COVID-19 tests will be available to attendees and exhibitors throughout the duration of the conference.
- Hand sanitizing/hand washing stations available throughout meeting rooms by the Renaissance
- Regular cleaning/disinfecting in meeting rooms by the Renaissance
- Social distance seating available in meeting rooms (limited)
- Sit down meal functions will have social distance seating at designated tables (limited)
- Food & Beverage options will follow Renaissance safety guidelines
- Recharge Area where there will be seating arranged for an area with at least 6 feet distance at a private table (limited)
National VOAD cannot guarantee measures taken will fully protect attendees from contracting COVID-19. Please note that these guidelines may change as the conference date approaches, based on changes to local and CDC guidelines. Please refer to the below recourses for the most up-to-date information:

Cancellation Policy: Requests for cancellation refunds must be made in writing and be sent to: National VOAD Conference Office, 8550 United Plaza Blvd, Ste. 1001, Baton Rouge, LA 70809 or via e-mail to [email protected]. Requests postmarked on or before March 1, 2022 will be refunded in full. A 30% cancellation fee will be assessed for cancellation requests post-marked between March 1, 2022 and April 11, 2022. No refunds will be processed for cancellations received on or after April 11, 2022. Any cancellations due to a positive COVID-19 test or exposure to COVID-19 will be refunded in full up until the day of the event pending documentation and notification is provided to the National VOAD Conference Office. If quarantine or isolation during the conference is required to do a positive COVID-19 test or exposure to COVID-19, the attendee will be responsible for any expenses incurred including, but not limited to lodging, meals, incidentals, and altered travel.
